2pm - 4pm Saltmarsh Nature Center 3301 Avenue U Brooklyn, NY Free Meet at the Salt Marsh Nature Center to learn about the hawks and owls of Jamaica Bay. See some of these amazing raptors during a live demonstration, and go on walks with experts to get a look at hawk species flying south for the winter. Kids welcome. Special thank you to wildlife rehabbers from WINORR for presenting their education animals. This festival is hosted by the American Littoral Society, with NYC Audubon, Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, NYC Parks and the Marine Park Alliance. While this event is free, donations to support this festival would be appreciated. How to get there: Public transit - the B3 Bus makes a stop right in front of the Salt Marsh Nature Center on Avenue U. Driving - please park in the parking lots across the street at Marine Park, there is no available parking space on the Nature Center side. Can't attend but want to become a member?
