10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Kaiser Park 2529 Neptune Avenue Brooklyn, NY (MAP) Join us for a morning of tree pit care in partnership with the Coney Island Beautification Project in Celebration of City of Water Day. This year the theme of City of Water Day is Resilience and Health. We will meet in Kaiser Park at the American Littoral Society Welcome table. We will then take a walk to remove weeds and beautify the tree pits to help care for our neighborhood street trees. Please be prepared to get your hands dirty! This event is free and open to all ages! Parents, please attend to your children at all times. There is easy walkable access to the shoreline we will be working on. Volunteers will be given gloves and tools for this stewardship activity. Volunteers should bring their own water bottle, comfortable shoes that can get dirty, sunscreen, and a hat/raincoat if rain is forecast. The event will take place rain or shine (unless there is a significant risk of extreme coastal flooding or lightning storms on the day). We will provide light refreshments and water to keep spirits up. Can't attend but want to become a member? Click here to read about membership benefits and how to join!
