Welcome to the American Littoral Society fish tagging page, home of the largest volunteer, salt-water fish tagging program in the U.S. You will find all the information you need to join nearly 1,500 taggers from Maine to the Gulf of Mexico who participate in our nationally recognized, volunteer, catch-and- release program. We′ve just celebrated 40 years of sharing information with fellow anglers and helping scientists learn more about the fish we catch and their habitat. Click on the links at the left to learn more about our program or click here to download an enrollment form. If you don’t find the information you need here, call Jeff at 732-291-0055 X106.
Check Out our "Species Spotlight" article page: Each month in our e-newsletter we highlight a different fish species (to sign up for our newsletter, go to the top right-hand corner of our home page). These articles examine the life histories, habits and behaviors of some of the most unique and interesting fish species that inhabit the oceans of our world. Be sure to check out the links to previously spotlighted species, located in the archives section at the bottom of the spotlight page. Go to the species spotlight page
